Adi Kailash Trek Overview

Adi Kailash is undoubtedly the epitome of spirituality in India. It is the replica of Mt. Kailash which lies in Tibet and is also one of the Pancha Kailash. The once hectic trek of Adi Kailash and Om Parvat, which run parallel to the Tibetan border and the Tibetan plateau is now much more bearable and accessible due to the motorable roads laid by the Indian government providing opportunities to even amateur trekkers to visit this paradise on earth. The area falls in the Vyas valley of Pithoragarh district in Uttarakhand. It is believed that God Shiva resides in these ranges of the Pancha Kailash. The reflection of Adi Kailash in the Parvati Sarovar is a sight to behold for a long time. Another attraction is the inscription of “OM” into the mountain called OM Parvat, a one of its kind sight in the world. The route from Dharchula to Adi Kailash and OM Parvat is a thrill in itself and offers a feel of soulful peace and divinity. According to legends, Ravana came from the south to worship God Shiva here. He was one of the biggest admirers of Lord Shiva.
