Hampta Pass Overview
Hamta Pass lies at an altitude of 4270 m (14039 ft) in the Pir Panjal range in the Himalayas. It is a small corridor between Chandra Valley of Lahual and Kullu valley of Himachal Pradesh, India. The nomenclature of the trek was derived from Hamta Village, located below Sethan village, as part of the trek route. This pass is frequently used by shepherds of the lower Himalayan region, seeking high altitude grasslands in the summer, when the dry cold desert of Lahaul is barren.

The Fees Include
# Transportation & common accommodation from Pune to Pune.
# Vegetarian meals along the trek route from the Base Camp to Base Camp.
# Sleeping bag, mattress, tents, kitchen tent, toilet tent, utensils and crampon (if required).
# Professional outdoor experts, guide, cook and support staff.
# All necessary entry fees and permits.
# First aid medical kit.
# Porters/mules to carry common equipment.
The Fees does not include
# Clothing of personal nature like trek shoes, kit bags, day packs, down jackets and other special clothing etc.
# Meals during transit from Pune to Base Camp and back,
# Medical expenses (apart from first aid).
# Insurance.
# Any kind of shopping, mineral water, optional sight-seeing, and any other expenses of personal nature.
# Bag offloading charges.
# Any expenses arising out of unforeseen circumstances like flight delay / cancellation / hike in fare, strike or any other natural calamities or any emergency evacuation expenses.
# Any other item not mentioned in the cost include section.
Important Note
The railway reservations begin 120 days prior to the date of departure. Hence, all the participants who wish to join this programme from Pune are requested to confirm their participation immediately to facilitate railway reservations.
Tour Plan :
01
Day 1: Pune → Pune
Departure for Delhi by 12629 / 22685 Sampark Kranti Express from Pune Railway Station at 9 am. Overnight train journey.

Day 2: Delhi → Naggar Base Camp
Arrival Delhi at 1.30pm and transfer to Hotel for a quick fresh up. Proceed to Naggar Base Camp by Volvo at 5 pm. Overnight bus journey.

Day 3: Naggar Base Camp → Naggar Base Camp
Arrival at Naggar Base Camp & transfer to Base Camp. Enjoy a short acclimatization walk in the evening to explore the rich heritage of the surrounding areas.

Day 4: Naggar Base Camp → Chikka
Today, we commence our journey with a short jeep drive upto Sethan from where the trek starts towards Chikka which lies on grassy banks that slope from the high cliffs. We will camp at Chikka for the night.

Day 5: Chikka → Baku Ka Ghera
Today, the walk begins with walking over gentle slopes over the beautiful meadows and reach the beautiful campsite of Balu ka Ghera. Overnight stay at Balu ka Ghera.

Day 6: Balu Ka Ghera - Hampta Pass → Balu ka Ghera
Summit Day!! We leave early morning to finish the main and last part of our trek towards the Hampta Pass. We climb up to the Hampta Pass and come back to Balu ka Ghera for an overnight stay.

Day 7: Balu Ka Ghera → Chikka
After the wonderful time at Hampta Pass and Balu ka Ghera camp, it is time to return the fascinating mountains, we trek back to Chikka for an overnight stay.

Day 8: Chikka → Naggar Base Camp
We retrace our steps back towards Naggar Base Camp via Rani Thatch. Overnight at Manali Base Camp.

Day 9: Naggar Base Camp → Delhi
Optional sightseeing tour of Manali town or rafting adventure and departure for Delhi by bus in the evening. Overnight bus journey.
10
Day 10: Delhi → Pune
Arrival at New Delhi at 8 am at Hotel Sunshine, Karolbagh and proceed to Pune by train no 11078 Jhelum Express. Overnight train journey.

Day 11: Pune → Pune
Arrival at Pune Railway Station 4 PM.
